Danish awardwinning Rum from Skotlander Spirits
Experience a journey back in time and a sweet highlight to taste a sample of the 400 liters of rum, which has stored two years on four sherry barrels aboard the schooner.
The aged rum, Skotlander Rum V, has sailed 1,400 nautical miles and has won numerous awards. Even before aging, it won GOLD in Miami and Berlin and the aged edition won GOLD at the Miami Rum Festival in 2016 in front of some big Caribbean names.
Rum tasting as an experience gift card or customer care
Rum tasting and sailing is a unique experience for your staff or an event for selected customers in the company. The original fragrance impression and the cozy, maritime surroundings on board the schooner help to emphasize the taste of the golden drops.
But this event can also be a part of an exclusive ladies or men’s trip or another occasion, such as a bachelor/bachelorette party where the historic ship and the delicious rum are the perfect match for an unforgettable experience.
Where and how does the Rum tasting take place?
The hometown port for our two Schooners is Copenhagen Harbour, but we can arrange to sail from other ports on Zealand and in Denmark.
The rum talk and tasting, which can take place before or after the cruise, is based on three selected rums from Skotlander Spirits. They are now replenished with new 400 liters from Skotlander Spirits. A program may look like this:
18.00 You are welcomed on board.
18.15 You get a brief introduction to the history of the Rum and taste three selected rum.
19.15 We sail out of the harbor and enjoy CPH. We set sails, and you are very welcome to participate.
20.00 A light buffet can be served on deck or in the lounge, while the sun is approaching the horizon is the same color as the golden rum.
21.00 We are back in the Port of Copenhagen after some tasty hours together.
Where can we sail on the Sound?
On the way out of the Port of Copenhagen, we use the engine and pass the Royal Play House, the Opera, the Queens palace Amalienborg and The Little Mermaid. As soon as we have passed Trekroner Søfort, we can hoist the sails. The Captain takes note of the of the wind and sets a course for the most comfortable sailing experience.
A southeastern course will bring us near Flakfort and Saltholm on your way out on the Sound and typically past Kastrup, Amager Strandpark and the Blue Planet on the return. Behind the flat island, Saltholm, stands the impressive building, the Øresund Bridge.
